Shows

I’ve directed all sorts of shows in a quest to learn about the world and share my findings (and have fun!). You can find out about a selection of them from the links below, or through the fuller list in the drop-down menu under Shows.

My all-time favourite is the musical Pins and Needles, followed closely by Blood and Gifts and other plays for The Great Game: Afghanistan at the Tricycle.

Lots of my work doesn’t fit neatly into genres: Marathon ’33 was so big and whirling that my head nearly exploded, and Moby-Dick Unabridged was a brilliant model for collaboration and public participation in the arts.

I’ve loved directing new plays including Whatever Happened to Mrs Exeter for Visible Theatre, Weightless for HighTide, The Accidental Proteus for Company of Angels, Dinner at Pharaoh’s Table for the Jersey Arts Trust, and loads by Helena Thompson for SPID Theatre including Open House, Bluebeard’s Wives, several great youth shows, and Childsplay, the messy slice of perfection that we wrote together.

I’ve enjoyed making political work with young actors, including A Bright Room Called Day at RADA. Happy browsing!
